Hi Brian- Congrats on your win. I just told my nephews to make sure they don't wreck their autographed versions of Moonshot- which you so graciously signed a few years ago. I am thrilled for you. All the best, Helen

Hello Brian,

I am a mother of a soon-to-be three year old son who is just absolutely in love with trains. It started with Thomas the Tank Engine but has quickly progressed to enjoying real life engines and model trains as well. He is so in love with trains, in fact, that he can tell you about all the different types of engines and about almost all of their parts!

All of this to say - we discovered your book "Locomotive" at our local library recently and my son listened intently for about 3/4ths of the way through the book. This astounded me because surely I thought he would simply be more interested in the photographs than the entire story at his age!

But he absolutely loves the story and all of the attention to detail that you've given in "Locomotive" and so I purchased the book for him this last week so he could keep the book forever instead of having to give the book back to the library.

As a parent, I love that "Locomotive" not only is beautiful and engaging as a story but also is filled with the rich history of the railroad and how it has shaped American life. I know that this will be a book that my son will continue to love for many, many years and will continue to learn and appreciate new things about locomotives and their history through your book.

Thank-you again, Brian, for taking the time to create such a wonderful masterpiece of children's literature. As a parent I cannot thank you enough.

Sincerely,

Staci B.
